Sarah Novenson Jewish Artist

Sarah Novenson is a Jewish artist based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her art combines Hebrew script with Scriptural imagery.
Her web site features a series of women from the Jewish scriptures: Sarah, Rachael, Miriam, Deborah, Eve, Esther, Rebecca, Leah, Hannah, Ruth and Naomi. They’re all hand embellished Giclee print on Japanese rice paper. Pictured to the right is “Miriam”, leading her people through the red sea.
Also on the site is a “Sabbath Prayer Series”, with landscape expressions of psalms. The Solomon’s Song of Song Series includes the rose, the apple tree, the lily, the doe, the dove and the leopards.
